Coconut Mango chutney is a tongue tickling, delicious, spicy and perfect accompaniment for your summer breakfast. It can be enjoyed with dosa, idli or any other breakfast item. A must try summer special chutney recipe..



What's the most important thing to consider when making this chutney..

In order to enjoy this chutney, you need to create the perfect balance of all the ingredients which goes in this chutney. Like this chutney need green chilies in good quantity, so add according and also the amount of raw mango plays very important role, add just ⅓ or ½ of raw mango.. else this chutney recipe will become big flop show..

☑ Recipe details

🔸Preparation time 3-5 min
🔸Cooking time 2-3 min (for tempering)
🔸Cuisine - Indian
🔸Type - accompaniment - side dish

☑ Ingredients required
◾For chutney


🔹150 - 200 grams / 1 cup fresh coconut
🔹⅓ raw mango, sliced or add according to your taste
🔹5-6 green chillies or as preferred
🔹1-2 tsp roasted chana dal - optional
🔹20-25 curry leaves
🔹½ - 1 tsp sugar
🔹½ cup water or as required
🔹Salt to taste




◾For tempering

🔸¼ tsp mustard seeds
🔸2-3 curry leaves
🔸½ tsp cooking oil



☑ Method

♨ Step 1 Grind

◾Combine all the ingredients mentioned under for chutney. Grind it on high speed for a min or two. Add very little water or as required, and make a coarse paste. Keep it aside and now prepare for tempering.






♨ Step 2 Temper - tadka

◾Heat oil In a tadka pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves, stir briefly and allow it to sputter. Pour it over the coconut mango chutney. Serve this with idli or dosa.
