How to make Coconut Milk | Homemade Recipe of Fresh Coconut milk | Easiest Coconut Milk Recipe from fresh Coconut..
Hello Friends,
Are you looking for a super easy recipe of homemade coconut milk! If yes then your search ends right here.. In today's DIY post, I'm going to share as how easy it is to prepare a coconut milk at home from fresh coconut.
Coconut is not very regular ingredient in my cooking.. So that's the reason, I always go with shop bought coconut milk of very famous brand. But it is very costly, for 200 ml - we have to pay 70-75 rupees and after unpacking we have to finish it very quickly else it gets spoiled very fast. In fact, my packaged one also got spoiled and I felt really bad.. It's like wasting our hard earned money. I truly believe and love to follow these rules of Warren Buffett Rule no. 1 - Never lose money. Rule no. 2 Never forget rule no. 1. Another quote which is my all time favorite and makes me guilty whenever I get tempted to buy something which is not relevant in the long run... 'If you make a habit of buying things you don't need, you'll be soon selling things you do".
If you have a good quality mixer grinder, then it's like sone pe suhaaga.. If you don't have a good blender or mixer grinder, don't worry, just grate it and follow the process which I'm going to share now...
☑Let's get started - recipe details
🔹Preparation time 15-20 minutes
🔹Cooking time 1-2 minutes
☑Ingredients required
🔸150 - 200 grams Coconut
🔸½ cup + 1 cup + 1 cup water.
☑Method
♨ Step 1 Break the coconut
◾Break the coconut into pieces - remove the meat - cut it into thin slices or roughly chop it in small pieces.
♨ Step 2 - Soak coconut slices in lukewarm water.
◾Boil the water first. We don't need very hot boiling water. Lukewarm water is perfect for this recipe. Soak coconut slices in lukewarm water for 5-10 minutes.
♨ Step 3 blend on high speed
◾Combine coconut slices and water into the blender and blend it on high speed for 2-3 minutes until water and coconut is fully mixed and looking smooth and creamy.
♨ Step 4 Sieve
◾Strain the liquid through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. This is first thick extract and can never be boiled on high speed as tend to curdle at high temperature.
♨ Step 5 Repeat
◾Repeat the same process for second and third extract. Put back strained out coconut residue and 100ml water and blend it on high speed for 3-4 minutes until thick and creamy. Pour through a fine sieve or cheesecloth. Repeat the same process third time and discard the coconut residue. Our coconut milk is ready.
◾Use right away, or keep it refrigerated. Should be consumed within a day or two.
