How To Make Mom's Favorite Breakfast Recipe Dalia | Sweet Daliya | Laapsi | Recipe of Sweet Bulgur | Sweet Cracked Wheat (Dalia) ?
Today's recipe is mom's favorite breakfast recipe. Daliya means broken wheat. Daliya (Dalia) is also known as Bulgur, Laapsi, Fada, Bulgar Wheat.
For this recipe, we will use very fine broken wheat kernels. I have picked organic and medium broken wheat from the supermarket and now I will ground that into fine kernels.
This breakfast recipe is highly nutritious and yummy. Broken wheat is an excellent source of fibre, phosphorus, magnesium and iron.

✔ Ingredients required for sweet daliya
1 small cup Dalia (cracked wheat)
✴8-10 Almonds - chopped
✴1 tbsp Raisins
✴70-80g sugar or as per your taste (approx 10-12tsp)
✴1 tsp salt
✴ 4-5 green cardamom
✴2 tbsp ghee
✴Few rose petals for garnish
✔Step 1 : Mise en place
♦ Take broken wheat in a mixer grinder jar and grind it into very fine kernels. Finely chop the almonds.
✔Step 2 : Cooking Time
♦ Heat ghee in pressure cooker, add crushed green cardamom, stir for a few seconds. Now add broken wheat and stir until golden brown and start giving very pleasant aroma. (Follow this process on low or medium flame as chances of getting burnt is very high).
♦Add chopped almonds, stir for a few seconds, then add water (400-500 ml), raisins, sugar and salt. Cover the pressure cooker with lid and allow 3-4 whistles and then simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes.
♦Serve hot garnished with rose petals, raisins and almonds.
1. Get everything handy before starting the cooking procedure.
2. Use Daliya of fine kernels.
3. Water works in good quantity, as in absence of water,chances of getting burnt is very high. Water gets absorbed fast if used fine kernels for cooking.
