Today I'm going to share yet another super quick, healthy and yummilicious breakfast recipe for you, which is made with oats, almonds, coconut milk and flavored with cardamom powder. Sharing recipe with step by step photos.
The Oats Almond Halwa recipe is best suited for all the students who are going to appear for board and school exams and who refuses to eat almonds during this period. Almonds, raisins and walnuts are highly recommended food for this pre examination period. I really want to thank my mom as she use to take very good care of our diet in this period.
Today's recipe is coming under fast to cook, good to eat recipes and I'm sure your children will going to love this halwa and request you to prepare it again and again. Trust me, this halwa was so tempting that after food photography it got polished off in no time.

▫Preparation time 2-3 minutes
▫Cooking time 8-10 minutes

✔ Ingredients required
▫40-50 grams oats
▫8-10 almonds - soaked and peeled
▫ 2-3 tsp sugar or as per taste
▫10-15 grams coconut milk powder
▫1 cup hot water or according to need
▫Pinch of cardamom powder
▫1-2 tsp ghee or butter
☑ Method
✔Step 1 Mise en place
◾Oats - pulse the oats in a food processor or mixer grinder for 5-7 seconds. Grind the oats into a coarse powder.
✔Step 2 Cooking time
◾In a non stick pan, melt the ghee, add the coarse oats powder.
◾Stir fry over medium to low heat for a min or two until the colour changes to light brown and mild sweet aroma is released.
◾Add chopped almonds, coconut milk and sugar. Mix it well, and cook it on medium flame till the mixture becomes thick. Keep the heat low and stir continuously. Lastly sprinkle cardamom powder. Mix it well. .

ReplyDeletebeautiful recipe,i am mouth watering over here -I just have a few questions: do you know if is it possible to substitute the butter/ghee for coconut oil? or even substitute for any anything else, fat-free? Would you recommend adding anything else? ( e.g.: coconut powder, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds or else)
