The dough preparation of Sabudana vada and Sabudana Thalipeeth is almost same, only difference is in Thalipeeth you can soak them for 45-50 minutes, whereas in Sabudana vada, we have used overnight soaked Sabudana.

Let's get started..

Recipe details⬇

⚫60 grams paneer
⚫3tbsp sama flour (optional)
⚫2tsp freshly roasted crushed cumin seeds
⚫4tbsp Freshly roasted crushed peanuts
⚫1tsp black salt
⚫1 Lemon (juice)
⚫1 handful of coriander leaves
⚫5-6 green chillies or to taste
⚫Salt to taste
⚫Cooking oil

Method:

☑ Step 1 Mise en place

❇Raw Peanuts - roasted - husked - crushed

❇Potatoes - Boiled - Peeled - Mashed

❇ Sabudana - Wash and soak them in ¼ cup water for 40-45 minutes. They will soak up all water and swelled up and translucent.

❇ Cumin seeds - roasted - crushed

❇ Coriander leaves - finely chopped

❇Green chillies - finely chopped

❇Paneer - grated

☑ Step 2: Make a dough

♨In a mixing bowl add mashed potatoes, grated paneer, Sabudana, roasted cumin seeds, rock salt, green chillies, chopped cilantro leaves, crushed peanuts, sama flour, lemon juice and salt taste... combine all well and knead into a dough. Water is not needed in this dough preparation. Knead to form a dough. Hold them in refrigerator for 10-12 minutes. .

☑ Step 3: Roasting

♨ Divide the dough into 10 equal portions.. Get hold of a kitchen napkin or cheese cloth. Take the dough in your hands, give round shape, place it in the cheesecloth, gently pat it in a circular motion to form a disc.

♨ Heat nonstick tava on medium high temperature. Gently remove from napkin and transfer it onto a non stick hot tawa, roast them on medium flame for 2-3 minutes, cover and cook till golden brown.

♨Flip over and cook till both sides are cooked. Apply oil as an when required. Serve it hot.

Notes: Sama flour makes this dough very soft, and not pliable, so if you are looking for crispy pancakes, don't add this. Sama flour is excellent in fiber content, so added in this Thalipeeth recipe..
