Today's recipe is one of the most preferred paneer recipes in our house. This recipe needs no introduction, as this is one of the most irresistible, fantastic, scrumptious and very easy to cook vegetarian recipe which is made with Paneer and Green Peas and cooked in tomato based gravy and flavored with Indian spices and garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
It goes very well with chapatti, roti, parathas, jeera rice or steamed rice or pulao.

Matar or Mutter is a Hindi word which means Fresh green peas and paneer is Indian Cottage Cheese which is made by curdling milk with lemon juice, vinegar or with curd whey.

⚫Prep Time: 10-15 min (if going with home made paneer)
⚫Cook Time: 10-12 min
⚫Category: Vegetarian
⚫Difficulty: Very Easy
⚫Serves : 4
♦Ingredients required
⚫3 no. Tomatoes (Purée)
⚫250 grams paneer (cut in cubes)
⚫150gms Peas
⚫8-10 cashew nuts (optional)
⚫1tsp cumin seeds
⚫3-4 curry leaves
⚫1 green chilly
⚫1tbsp coriander leaves for garnish
⚫1tsp butter or ghee
⚫1tsp cooking oil
⚫1tsp turmeric powder
⚫1tsp coriander powder
⚫2tsp red chilly powder
⚫Pinch of Asafoetida
⚫Salt to taste
☑ Method
♨Heat oil and butter in a fry pan. Add curry leaves, asafoetida and cumin seeds, let them splutter.
♨Now add tomato puree. Sauté till oil separates.
♨Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and mix it well.
