How to remove seeds and extract pulp from custard apple in just two minutes?

To take out the pulp from Sitaphal seems to be a lengthy and difficult task, but trust me it takes just two minutes to finish this work..

How!

Just scoop out custard apple pulp along with the seeds - blend in on low speed with milk, remove the seeds and it's done.

In today's recipe, I had used coconut milk powder, but you can also try this with fresh homemade coconut milk or the addition of almond milk is also a good alternative.. I use coconut milk as well as almond milk for this recipe depending on mood and availability.

Let's get started

  • Preparation time 5-10 minutes
  • Cooking time 3-5 minutes
  • Cuisine - Indian
  • Portion - 1 glass

Ingredients needed

  • 1 Sitaphal - custard apple
  • 3-4 tbsp coconut milk powder or 1 cup coconut milk or 1 cup almond milk
  • 2-3 tsp sugar or dates syrup or jaggery or as preferred
  • ⅛ tsp - a touch of nutmeg powder

Method
✔️Step 1 Make Coconut Milk..

◾In a saucepan, add 1 cup water and coconut milk powder. Mix it well. Add the sugar. Cook it on slow flame for approximately 3-5 minutes. Add the nutmeg powder. Stir and switch off the gas stove. Leave it to cool down completely.

✔️Step 2 Deseed

◾Break and open the custard apple. With the help of a spoon, scoop out the seeds along with the flesh.

◾Take a blender jar, add ½ cup coconut milk and custard apple pulp, mix it on low speed for a few seconds. I had used My Kitchen aid blender. You can perform this function on your mini chopper as well.. Just remove the seeds.

✔️Step 3 Blend and Serve

◾Combine coconut milk & sitaphal pulp Mix it well. Or you can blend it again for a few seconds, until smooth and creamy.

◾Pour into glass, garnish it with your favorite nuts. Serve warm or chilled.
