Coconut Ladoo is the most preferred sweet in my house in every festive season. I have been preparing this sweet from a very young age.. It is very much loved and appreciated, till today.. In fact, I'm very popular because of this sweet.. My friends and near and dear one's still request me to prepare this sweet for them.
I always used desiccated coconut for this recipe, but this time made with fresh grated coconut.. I got an excellent feedback for this preparation as well.. Trust me it is super delicious and I bet you can't eat just one..

- Preparation time 8-10 minutes
- Cooking time 15-20 minutes
- Servings 12-15 laddoo's

♨ Ingredients required
- 1 coconut - peeled and grated
- 500 ml full cream milk - reduced to 200 ml - used Amul gold
- 200 ml - ½ tin condensed milk
- 2-3 tsp ghee
- 1-2 tsp cardamom powder
- 4-5 tbsp desiccated coconut
- 1-2 tsp powered sugar (optional)
♨ Step 1 Reduce the milk
◾Pour milk into a heavy bottomed saucepan. Cook it on slow flame for 15-20 minutes until reduced to 55-60%. Keep it aside until called for.
♨ Step 2 Cooking time
◾Combine grated coconut and reduced milk in a saucepan. Cook it on slow fire till the milk is completely evaporated.
◾Add 2-3 tsp ghee, cook it for a min or two.
◾Add the condensed milk. Mix it well. Cook it on slow flame for a min or two.
◾Add green cardamom powder. Mix it well again. If needed add 1-2 tsp powdered sugar at this stage..
◾Continue stirring and cook it on slow flame for 3-5 minutes or till the ghee separates and mixture leaving the sides and start coming together. Switch off the gas stove.
♨ Step 3 Make Laddoo
◾Transfer the mixture onto a plate and spread it. Leave it to cool down a little. Grease your palms with a few drops of ghee, When the mixture is hot, but cool enough to handle take a small portion, roll that in between your palms and make round ladoo. Roll them in the desiccated coconut. Repeat the same process with left over mix.
◾Coconut Ladoo with fresh coconut is ready to eat. Serve right away or store them in air tight container..
