What to do or how to cook green tomatoes! This is one question which we really want to explore whenever we see green tomatoes in vegetable store or supermarkets. And top of it, If I articulate that I'm going to partake in one of the easiest, lip smacking, healthy recipe of green tomatoes... then!!!

Today I'm going to share quick & easy Achaari Hare Tamatar Ki Sabzi .This recipe is coming under fast to cook - good to eat tangy, spicy, flavorful healthy recipes . This preparation is very much loved in my house. The addition of fenugreek seeds, fennel and cumin seeds creates magic and makes it awesomely delicious.

◽Preparation time 5-7 minutes 
◽Cooking time 10-12 minutes 
◽Recipe type Side dish

☑Ingredients required 

◽6-7 green tomatoes 
◽1tsp fennel seeds - saunf
◽1 tsp fenugreek seeds - methi dana
◽1 tsp cumin seeds - jeera
◽½ tsp turmeric powder
◽1-2 tsp coriander powder
◽2tsp red chilli powder
◽2-3 green chillies 
◽1tbsp cooking oil
◽salt to taste 
◽coiander leaves for garnish


✔Step 1 Mise en place

Green tomatoes - washed - pat dry - cut them into medium size pieces. 

◾Green chillies - finely chopped 

✔Step 2 Cooking time 

◾Heat oil in a non stick frying pan. Add sanuf, jeera and methi dana. Allow it to splutter.

◾Add green tomatoes and green chillies, saute on high fire for 2-3 minutes. 

◾Now cover it with lid and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Just keep stirring in between. 

◾Now add all the remaining dry ingredients i.e. turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste. 

◾Mix it all well. If needed, add a few drops of water and cover it with lid and allow it cook till tomatoes are done. 

◾Our green tomatoes are ready to dish out. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.  Serve it hot with chapati.
