How to make Dabeli | Super quick Yummlicious Kutchi Dabeli Recipe



Hello friends, 
Today's post is continuity to my earlier post - Homemade Dabeli Masala  .  Dabeli is actually lengthy preparation so for better understanding, I am partaking in two separate blog posts.




Dabeli is a very famous and delicious street food of India, originating in the Kutch region of Gujarat. It is prepared with flavorful and spiced filling of mashed potatoes with a bunch of colourful, delightful and healthy topping. 



Let's get started

☑Ingredients needed 

▫5-6 boiled and mashed potatoes 
▫ ready to use dabeli paste Recipe link Dabeli Masala Paste
▫Salt to taste
▫Bun breads / burger bun / Pav
▫Butter / ghee

☑Topping and garnish

▫Roasted masala peanuts
▫Pomegranate arils 
▫Onions finely chopped
▫Finely chopped cilantro leaves
▫Nylon Sev


☑Chutneys

▫Green chutney 
▫Spicy Garlic red chutney 


☑Method


◾Heat ghee or butter add mashed potatoes.. Cook it on slow flame for 3-5 minutes. Add salt to taste and dabeli paste. Add ½ cup water or as per need. Cook it on medium to high flame for 5-7 minutes.. Our dabeli masala is ready.




◾In a platter spread dabeli masala stuffing. Top it with onions, Pomegranate arils, roasted masala peanuts, nylon sev and coriander leaves. Our stuffing is ready .




☑How to serve it up

◾Heat butter in a griddle or tava, place bun bread or pav and roast both the sides for a minute or two.



◾Arrange Pav on serving plate, Spread chutney as per your preference on both the sides or as needed. Top it dabeli stuffing and touch up with pomegranate seeds, onion, sev, peanuts and fresh coriander leaves. Roast it on medium to slow flame for a minute or two. Our dabeli is ready to dish out.

  6. This is an absolute divine dish. You know what when did I first eat my dabeli? It was after I got married and went to my in-laws place Udaipur. My BIL introduced this dish to me, and it was love at first bite! :) And now I make sure to eat this whenever I visit Udaipur! :) Thanks for this yummy share! :)

  7. yum yum yum.. I too recently posted Dabeli. amazing recipe right.? Kudos yaar, you did everything from scratch including the masala. love it. Between, with the month long marathon I am not able to visit here frequently. Should be back to norm from oct.

    1. Yes, absolutely. This recipe is one of the most loved and demanded recipe in our house and prepared 2-3 time's in a month's time.. I always avoid posting lengthy preparation, as clicking images of each step is like to do lots of work...

      About month long marathon, I completely understand,Kudos to you too, as it is something that needs devotion, dedication and complete surrender..👌👍🌷🌷🌷
