Pinto Beans Curry

How to make shelled Pinto Beans Curry | Rajma Curry Chawal | Fresh Chitra Rajama Beans Curry| Indian Pinto Beans Curry Recipe | Fresh shelled Kidney Beans Curry | How to cook fresh pinto beans

Today I am going to share yet another recipe of shelled Fresh Pinto Beans. This is my second blog posting on Pinto Beans. My first pinto beans recipe - Fresh Pinto Beans, Green Masala Recipe - Chitra Rajma Recipe.

The pinto bean is a variety of the common bean. These common beans are scientifically known as Phaseolus vulgaris.

Pinto beans are medium-size, oval-shaped beans with a beige background strewn with reddish brown splashes of color. Pinto beans are also known as Chitra Rajma (Chitri-wale Rajma), Printed Rajma. Pinto is the Spanish word for "painted." When cooked, their colored splotches disappear, and they become a beautiful pinkish color with a delicious creamy texture.

Pinto beans are a very good source of protein, cholesterol-lowering soluble fiber , vitamin B1, and vitamin B6 and minerals like copper, magnesium, iron, phosphorus and potassium. Pinto beans help stabilize blood sugar levels.

Today's recipe is one pot recipe. .  I am going to use pressure cooker for this recipe preparation.
