How to make Tangy & Spicy Kachi Kairi Thecha | Spicy Mango Chutney | Kachi Kairi Ni Chutney | Spicy Kairi Kharda | Kairi Hirwi Mirchi Cha Thecha

Hello friends,

Today's blog post is truly addictive and my all time favorite. If you love raw mangoes and spicy condiments, then this would definitely make it to your top favorites. Sharing recipe with step by step photos.

Also refer video presentation of this recipe. .

Thecha means to crush or pound in Marathi. It is super hot chutney made with green chillies, garlic, groundnuts and handful of coriander leaves. You'll observe many variations of thecha chutney but garlic and green chillies are one of the most essential ingredients of this spicy condiment.

Some questions and answers related to this recipe..

Tell us more about your recipe?

This recipe is designed and prepared for the summer season. As temperature keeps rising, it somehow affects our taste buds and we feel nothing tempting or interesting to eat. This recipe really helps us a lot and bring back excitement to enjoy our regular meals. This is a blockbuster hit in my house..

What is Thecha?

Thecha is basically a coarse spicy chutney from the Maharashtrian cuisine. It is made with green chillies, garlic cloves, raw peanuts and a handful of cilantro leaves.

Whether such type of spicy food is allowed in the summer season?

A very good question indeed. It is better to avoid very spicy food in summer season. My recipe is moderately hot as the addition of a few slices of raw mango and peanuts controls the spice level to a very great extent.. Plus, you can adjust the green chillies according to your own preference.

How to store this Chutney?

You can store this Chutney in an airtight container in the refrigerator and if handled properly can be stored for a week's time.. But as truly addictive in taste, it is practically impossible to store for a longer time.
