Today I'm going to share one more delectable and nutritious french beans salad recipe for you. Sharing recipe with step by step photos. 



French beans are basically the unripe bean pods and belong to legume family. They are also known as snap beans, green beans or string beans.

♨ Recipe details 

🔸Preparation time 10-12 minutes 
🔸Cooking time 3-5 minutes 
🔸Servings 2-3

♨ Ingredients required 

For Salad
🔹250 grams french beans
🔹3-4 tbsp Pomegranate arils (approx 3/4 no.)
🔹Salt to taste
🔹A pinch of soda bicarbonate - Optional




For salad dressing 
🔸4-5 tbsp Mayonnaise sauce
🔸2tbsp Greek yoghurt 
🔸2-3 tsp honey
🔸1 tsp olive oil
🔸1 tsp black pepper powder or as per taste
🔸salt to taste


Method


♨ Step 1 Mise en place


French beans - Wash - pat dry - cut the beans into small pieces.





Pomegranate - remove the seeds.

♨ Step 2 Blanch French Beans

◾In a saucepan, add water, salt and a pinch of soda bicarbonate. Bring it to a boil.



◾Add french beans. Boil or stream the french beans to desired tenderness. It will take 2-3 minutes, depending on quality of french beans. Just be there and keep checking to get the desired tenderness.









◾Immediately transfer french beans to a bowl filled with ice cold water. This will stop the cooking process immediately. Remove beans from ice water with the help of colander. Keep it aside until called for.







♨ Step 3 Prepare Salad Dressing and Toss.

◾Combine mayonnaise, yogurt, honey and olive oil in a mixing bowl. Whisk it well until the mixture turns thick and creamy.





◾Add salt and pepper. Mix it well.



◾Add french beans and pomegranate arils. (Keep 5-7% of french beans and pomegranate arils aside for garnish).



◾Toss it gently until nicely coated well with the dressing.



♨ Step 4 Garnish - Refrigerate And Serve Chilled


◾You need to serve this salad chilled to enhance the flavor and crunch. Refrigerate for 35-40 minutes and Garnish it with beans and pomegranate arils and serve chilled.
