Flax seeds and knee pain! How and when should you use them?

Why do my knees hurt more during the winter season! This is what my mom complains about knee pain in every winter season. This is one of the most common problems faced by many who suffer from arthritis or other inflammatory conditions in winter season...

Today I'm proceeding to share how to use seeds for the knee pain.

Flax Seeds are the ultimate powerhouse of nutrition and one of the nature's richest plant sources of omega-3 fatty acids. The main health benefits of flax seed are due to its rich content of Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA), dietary fiber, and lignans

Flaxseeds are known as ALSI in Hindi, Gujarati, and Punjabi, Ali Vidai in Tamil. In Marathi, it is also known as jawas, alashi, and linseed. In Bengali, it is known as Tishi, in Oriya its Pesi. In Kannada, its called Agasi, and telugu people call it Avise ginzalu and in Kerala, the Malyalis call it Cheruchana Vithu.

Flax seeds are one of the best sources of Omega-3 fats. In our Indian vegetarian diet, one of the fats we miss out on, in Omega-3 fats. Flax seeds have natural anti-inflammatory benefits, which makes them good for arthritis sufferers.

To obtain the beneficial fatty acids from the flax seeds, they need to be ground first. Ground flax seed provides more nutritional benefits than does the whole seed.

⬇ Why to grind flax seeds?

▪ Flaxseed is a great source of fiber, but whole flax seeds pass right through your system without being digested, means your body will miss out on most of the outstanding benefits that come from the seeds! When it gets to the digestion of whole and ground flax seeds, ground flaxseeds are easier for your body to digest than whole flax seeds so ensure that you get more fiber by opting for the ground flax seed version.

⬇How much flax seeds do you need?

1-2 tbsp ground flax seeds daily. Breakfast time is best time to eat flax seeds.

⬇How to grind flax seeds?

⚫Dry roast the Flax seeds on slow flame for 3-5 minutes.

⚫Switch off the gas stove when you hear cracking sound of seeds.

⚫Transfer this to a plate and allow it cool down first and then grind to a coarse powder..

⬇How to store flaxseeds?

❤ Flax seeds are high in oil, ground flaxseed will go rancid quickly. So make small batches of flax seeds powder Store them in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator or freezer to prevent them from becoming rancid.
